Dr Barbora Duzi is a social scientist who has been affiliated with the Czech Academy of Sciences (Institute of Geonics, Department of Environmental Geography) since 2015. Barbora is interested in spatial effects of contemporary agricultural change, food innovations and varieties of current changes in food production and consumption patterns. Moreover, she is active in non-governmental organization.
Work of Dr Jakub Trojan is devoted to enhancing our understanding of digital technologies, especially open source, GIS and cartographic visualizations. He is also interested in location based services and augmented reality and its links to the sustainability studies. Jakub is a long-term researcher of the Department of Environmental Geography, Institute of Geonics, Czech Academy of Sciences and Tomas Bata University (Department of Environmental Sectury). He also teaches at the Institute of Geography, Masaryk University.
Eva Novakova has been working as a social scientist and a GIS specialist at the Department of Environmental Geography, Institute of Geonics, Czech Academy of Sciences for 15 years. Eva is a human geographer and cartographer interested in socio-spatial changes occurring in the countryside in ECE countries in the post-socialist era and in advanced methods of GIS use.
Specialisation of Dr Petr Dvorak is on current transformations of rural space and consequent land-use changes. Petr has been working at the Department of Environmental Geography, Institute of Geonics, Czech Academy of Sciences since 2009. He is also affiliated with the University of Ostrava (Department of Human Geography and Regional Development).
Dr Stanislav MartinĂ¡t is a researcher in Human Geography, currently working at the Department of Environmental Geography, Institute of Geonics, Czech Academy of Sciences and at the Department of Geography, Palacky University. he focal points of his research are new spatial phenomena affecting contemporary agricultural transition of rural space (like the occurrence of brownfields or renewable energies).
